Wonderful list, Wendy! I am delighted to see that we share a big chunk of our lists.

It must be awfully nice to have started off the challenge with two books you enjoyed as much as the Adichie and the Nemirovsky. I am waiting to get "Half of a Yellow Sun" from the library, at which point I will have to dive into it immediately, before someone else recalls the book (it is in great demand at my library, it seems)!

Oh, you will love Half of a Yellow Sun! We just discussed this in a book group and the vast majority of people gave it 4.5 to 5 (out of 5). Nobody rated it less than a 4. If you like it as much as I think you will, you should also read her first book: Purple Hibiscus.
